The San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) | Fort Mason Campus presents two innovative group exhibits, “Shadows” and “Arrived!” in SFAI’s Swell Gallery and Main Atrium in Pier 2 at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Ten artists exhibit work in “Shadows,” which is curated by Samuel De Lemos and Suzanne Russell.

“Shadows” explores the meanings and symbolism of shadows and light in different cultures and features photography and sculpture by Ben Barbour, Samuel De Lemos, IHM, Sera Mac, Yvette Marthell, Jeff Maylath, Andy Pepper, Joanna Ruckman, Suzanne Russell, and Mimi Vitetta. The “Shadows” opening reception takes place on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. “Shadows” is on view weekdays from June 29 through July 11, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in SFAI’s Swell Gallery.

The above 10 artists also show work with three additional students from SFAI’s Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts program in the “Arrived!” exhibit, which spans a variety of media, including drawing, installation, painting, photography, sculpture, and sound. Participating artists are: Ben Barbour, cyd brown, Kat Brown, Samuel De Lemos, IHM, Sera Mac, Yvette Marthell, Jeff Maylath, Andy Pepper, Joanna Ruckman, Suzanne Russell, Mimi Vitetta, and Eve Werner.

Acclaimed photographer J. John Priola curates “Arrived!” which is on view weekdays from June 29 through July 16, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Main Atrium exhibit space. The “Arrived!” opening reception takes place on Friday, June 29, 2018, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.,
