San Francisco International Arts Festival

Jun 3rd @ 7:00 p.m.

The award-winning Borromeo String Quartet, lauded for its “edge-of-the-seat performances” by the Boston Globe, will present the world debut of Bay Area composer Hi Kyung Kim’s “Percussion Quintet” with guest percussionist William Winant. Completing this intriguing program are works by Bach, Beethoven and the distinguished composer Gunther Schuller. The performance is sure to further cement Borromeo String Quartet’s standing as one of the most important ensembles of our time.

This performance by the Borromeo String Quartet is hosted by Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 19 – June 5 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features over 100 performances by 50 different ensembles, as well as an expansive arts exhibition celebrating 100 years of the Dada Movement.
