Sha Sha Higby

San Francisco International Arts Festival 2018

Presented By

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture & SFIAF

Through May 27th

Sha Sha Higby performs Dance In A Sculptural Costume and displays amazing dance costumes at Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture. Higby creates exotic, puppet-like costumes with masks, hand-crafted materials, intricate props, and contrasting textures. She brings them to life through whimsical movements and manipulations. Higby’s work creates journeys of life, death, and rebirth in which movement and stillness bind spaces and individuals together as if in invisible webs.

Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) hosts these performances by Sha Sha Higby as part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, which runs from May 24, 2018 to June 3, 2018 exclusively at FMCAC. The Festival features more than 60 performances by close to 40 different artists, ensembles, and companies. Get discounts on tickets to see multiple shows at the Festival by buying a Festival pass. More details HERE.
