City Lights Bookstore (261 Columbus Avenue) and Ars Citizen celebrated Sophie Calle with a reception and book signing in connection with her exhibit Missing. Customers perused the aisles to pick up copies of Calle’s books, which include the highly lauded True Stories and Sophie Calle: So Forth and have a copy signed.

This event was held in tandem with Missing, a thoughtful survey of Calle’s art since the 1980s that included her most emblematic projects from the last decade — True Stories, Rachel Monique, Take Care of Yourself, The Last Image, and Voir la mer — which were presented in a dramatic setting along the San Francisco waterfront.
