Through Jun 3rdThe 2018 San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) returns to Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture (FMCAC) May 24, 2018 to June 3, 2018 with a brilliant nine-day program. Co-presented with FMCAC, SFIAF features more than 60 performances of dance, theater, music, and more by close to 40 ensembles and individual artists from across the U.S. and eight visiting countries.
A festival that celebrates diversity, multiculturalism, curiosity and the value of others, SFIAF advocates for experiencing the cultural expressions of different societies and civilizations as a way to help understand and embrace them. For 2018, the festival theme is “Down By The Riverside: 50 years Celebrating the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.”
SFIAF also presents a series of programs suitable for families with children, including popular groups such as: AguaClara Flamenco, Bahiya Movement, Baobab, Chris Carlsson, Hafez Mordirzirdeh, Krip Hop Nation, San Francisco Flamenco Dance Company, Sha Sha Higby, and Ushanjali Dance, among many others.
